The Fishmonger’s Son is a tribute to renowned fishmonger, Konstantinos Yotis. For more than 40 years, Kon and his brother presided over a much-loved seafood stall at Footscray’s wholesale market.
Now, as a legacy to his late father, second generation fishmonger, Anthony Yotis and his partner Laura Di Florio Yotis are carrying on the tradition of selling top-quality, seasonal fish and seafood.
The Fishmonger’s Son is a haven for locals, foodies and seafood lovers thanks to a curated line-up of specialty, high-quality, and hard-to-find deli items that pair perfectly with our fresh fish and seafood offering. What's on offer changes from time to time but right now you'll find the likes of pickled and preserved fish and artisanal condiments you're unlikely to spot anywhere else.
And the deliciousness doesn’t stop there. From Tuesday through to Saturday, freshly made fish sandwiches are available on rotation and from Tuesday to Friday, our in-house sashimi chef Shiro, expertly prepares nigiri and sashimi boxes for takeaway. You better get in quick though — our cult prawn + cray rolls and sashimi packs are often sold out by lunchtime.
